Cabbage patatoes & bacon

What do you need


1 onion
red
3 medium sized patatoes
1 cabbage
3 fresh bacon slices
2 bay leaves
salt&pepper
extravirgin olive oil
5 big spoons of tomatoe sacuse

How


Let’s start by slicing the half onion finely and placing it in a large sauce pan with few drops of oil and some water, cook until the water is evaporated and the onion strats to fry – add sliced fresh bacon and cook until it starts to brown.
Pours 1/4 cup of wine. After a couple of minutes add the potatoes sliced into small cubes. Cook, stirring,for 2 minutes.
Add the finely chopped cabbage, tomatoe sacuce, salt, pepper and 2 bay leaves. Stir well all together, add a 1/2 cup of water and let cook for 20 min covered on medium heat.
Simmer, uncovered, for further 5 minutes on high heat to let potential leftover liquit to be absorbed.

Serve hot with an extra drizzle of extravirgin olive oil, bring along with some bread slices.
